STATEMENT OF WORK
EOD PERIMETER Fence.
Luke Air Force Base, Arizona August 18, 2020
1. OVERVIEW
The purpose of this project is to safely remove 740 ft of old fence and install NEW 800 ft of 8 ft slated fence. Also, install 1 22’X8’ roll slated gate with 2 KPER 2000 KEYPADS and a 4X8 Slated walk through gate with Simplex lock
2. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
2.1. This project includes all necessary demolition, construction and testing to perform work as listed in description of work below.
2.2. Performance Period: all work shall be completed within 30 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued.
2.3. General Construction
2.3.1. The contractor shall safely remove 740’ of old fence
2.3.2. The contractor will safely install 800’ of new 8’ stated fence
2.3.3. The contractor will install 1 22’X8 roll gate slated
2.3.4. The contractor will also install a 4X8 Slated walk gate with simplex slats
2.3.5. The fence entry will have 1 pedestal (2 KPER 2000 KEYPADS) 4 OVS Vehicle Detectors 1 Lift Masters SLGO 24DC, Photo eyes and Gate edge mounted to back
2.3.6. There will be 118’ of 8’ Not stated at staging area east side at canopy
2.3.7. Also will be 125’ of electric trench dug with new cable installed , material/ landscaping will be racked out and new concrete poured to cap.
2.3.8. The contractor will install 44’ of 12X12X12 V-Track Pad with #4 rebar 4000PSI and 24”X24” gate operator pad
3. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED INFORMATION, PROPERTY, OR SERVICES
3.1. Upon the Contractor’s request, the Government will provide electronic and/or hard copies of available documents and correspondences pertinent to the work.
4. GENERAL INFORMATION
4.1. GENERAL
The contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, and personnel necessary to design, manage, and accomplish the project. The Contractor shall thoroughly review the request for proposals for constructability and advise the contracting officer of potential problem areas prior to submitting a cost proposal. No alterations, additions or deletions shall be made unless prior written approval is given by the contracting officer. Under no circumstances is the Contractor to begin any work on the project until a Notice to Proceed is issued by the Contracting Officer.
4.2. SITE VISIT
The Contractor shall inspect the site where services are to be performed. This site review shall satisfy the Contractor’s need to identify all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract. Failure to inspect the site will not constitute grounds for claims after contract award.
4.3. REQUIRED SUBMITTALS
4.3.1. Submittals are required for this project and are listed along with their due dates on the AF Form 66, Schedule of Material Submittals.
4.3.2. Contractor Quality Control Reports shall be drafted in accordance with Luke Master Specifications, Section 014500. Provide such reports to the government project manager by COB of the first work day of the following week.
4.3.3. A written safety program shall be submitted prior to work start in accordance with Luke Master Specification, Section 010700.
4.3.4. When required per Schedule of Submittals, Contractor shall submit on an AF Form 3000 all product, material, shop drawing and designs to include Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to the Contracting Officer for approval before any and all items are brought to or installed on project sites at Luke AFB.
4.3.5. Demolition List: the Government reserves the right to salvage any/all equipment or materials prior to construction start. The Contractor shall submit a list of equipment to be demolished for Government review. A list of all items with delivery instructions will be provided in return to identify items for Government salvage. All other items will be the Contractor’s responsibility to dispose.
4.3.6. Provide Operation and Maintenance manual in accordance with Luke Master Specification, Section 017000.
4.3.7. The government reserves the right to request submittals on any product or service for duration of the contract.
