About this file
This Statement of Objectives (SOO) outlines a requirement for an access control badging system installation at Laughlin Air Force Base in Texas. The project focuses on securing restricted areas within Building 344, specifically targeting Suite 129 and its entrapment area for the 47 FTW Command Post. The system must control access to two interior doors and have the capability to expand to additional locations, including the alternate Emergency Operations Center and Command Post in Building 121.
Key requirements include installing a fully functional access control system that allows installation and ongoing service by any licensed access control professional, ensuring vendor flexibility. The project timeline mandates complete installation and training within 60 days of the service request. The facility is a two-story building with 6 exterior entrances, and the system must meet or exceed the specified salient characteristics. A facility map is referenced as Attachment 3 to provide additional context for the installation.
