Attachment 1 Salient Characteristics for Access Control Badging System:
1. Badge Technology: Supports proximity (RFID) DoD CAC cards.
2. Reader Compatibility: Badge readers suitable for wall-mount and mullion-mount installation, rated for indoor and outdoor use (operating temperature: -20°C to 50°C / -4°F to 122°F).
3. User Capacity: Supports a minimum of 500 unique users/badges.
4. Access Points: Capable of controlling access to at least 10 doors, expanding to 20.
5. Audit Trail: Logs all entry/exit attempts (user ID, date, time) and stores records for at least 12 months.
6. Integration: Integrates with existing door locking mechanisms and magnets.
7. Power: Operates on standard 120V AC power with backup battery support for at least 4 hours.
8. Serviceability: Installation, maintenance, and servicing can be provided by any licensed access control dealer; ongoing support and modifications are not restricted to the original vendor.
9. Installation: Includes installation, programming, and user training.
10. Expansion Capability: Allows for future addition of badging at the alternate Emergency Operations Center (EOC) and Command Post.
