About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics file for an Adiabatic Fluid Cooler Replacement project at Joint Base Charleston Air Base in South Carolina, dated 22 April 2025. The procurement requires a specific adiabatic, closed-loop fluid cooler with detailed technical specifications, including 3ph/60hz/460V voltage, BacNet/MSTP unit controller compatibility with Trane Ensemble energy management system, and air debris inlet screens. Key performance requirements include fluid temperature ranges (95.30°F entering, 85.00°F exiting), 20% propylene glycol fluid type, and capacity specifications of 756-832 MBH with a flow rate of 152-167 GPM.
The document specifies dimensional limitations of 8.5' wide by 18' long with no height restrictions and lists the Nimbus model VRGA022.0-EC-4 as the basis of design, with an "OR EQUAL" provision. The cooler will be delivered for government installation, with warranty to be provided by the equipment manufacturer. The project is part of a federal contract opportunity (Solicitation Number: FA441825Q0032) issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command for Joint Base Charleston.
