About this file

This is an Acknowledgement Certification form that vendors must complete to confirm their proposed Electric 5k-6k Draw Bar Pull Force (DBP) Burden Carrier Tractor meets all specified technical and operational requirements established by the U.S. Coast Guard. The form requires vendors to check "Yes" or "No" for each requirement and provide detailed information in a dedicated column explaining how the proposed unit satisfies each specification.

The tractor must meet critical performance and design standards including: a lead time of 90-120 days; physical dimensions (maximum 120 inches length without hitches, 150 inches with hitches, 90 inches height, 80 inches width); gross weight between 7,000-10,000 lbs; Draw Bar Pull Force between 5,000-6,000 lbs; minimum 15 mph forward speed capability; two or four-wheel drive; power steering with emergency manual backup; service braking compliant with ASME B30.5 with no more than 80 pounds pedal force; and an 80-volt electric battery system with Lithium-Ion technology. The tractor must feature a fully enclosed cab with 360-degree visibility, heating (capable of maintaining +40°F at -25°F ambient), defrosting, wipers, lighting systems compliant with road traffic regulations, suspended seats with safety switches, seatbelts per SAE J386, rotating amber beacon, backup camera, and audible backup alarm. Additional requirements include tropical rustproofing for salt-spray environments, semi-gloss white exterior paint with flat black chassis, two-level front and rear hitches (1.18-2.75 inch pin diameter), corrosion-resistant identification plates with manufacturer details, tie-down and slinging devices with 2.3:1 safety factor, minimum 12-month warranty, and complete operation manuals in both hardcopy and electronic PDF formats. Vendors must certify the accuracy of their submission with a printed name, signature, and date.
