737TRG Basic Military Training (BMT) Tac-Med Manikins (Brand Name or Equivalent)

Salient Characteristics May 2025

1. Background:

Basic Military Training (BMT) Trainees receive Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) during their appropriate week of training (WOT). During this training, they participate in scenarios where they administer medical care on mannequins, preventing the need to practice tourniquet application or other invasive procedures on themselves or their wingmen during practice or progress checks. In the sixth WOT, trainees participate in Primary Agile Combat Employment Range Forward Operations Readiness Generation & Employment (PACER FORGE), a simulated combat zone. During PACER FORGE, trainees apply TCCC techniques learned earlier in training on mannequins. They also practice carrying techniques. Approximately 900 Basic Military Training (BMT) trainees and instructors arrive at PACER FORGE per week.
