About this file
This document contains an attachment for identifying chemical waste at the National Institutes of Health. The attachment provides a chemical waste tag to label waste containers with information including the accumulation start date, chemical waste identification checking boxes for hazardous properties, the waste generation process, whether infectious agents or radioactive materials are present, and applicable pictograms marking hazards.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the National Institutes of Health seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive solid and medical pathological waste and recycling management services. The solicitation includes services for waste collection, transportation, treatment and disposal. The opportunity is open to all responsible sources and is issued by the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations.
