About this file

This is a Statement of Characteristics for a federal procurement of replacement workstation chairs for the 367th Cyberspace Operations Squadron (367 COS) and Joint Mission Operation Center - Texas (JMOC-T) located at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

The requirement specifies delivery of 164 fully assembled black chairs with the following specifications: all-mesh seat back; mesh or upholstered vinyl seat with spill-resistant material; seat height and slider adjustments; 360-degree swivel; tilting seat with multiple locking positions and adjustable tension; height-adjustable arms; adjustable lumbar support; headrest for high-angle monitor viewing; hard floor castors; and 350-pound weight capacity. The chairs must be explicitly rated by the manufacturer for 24/7 heavy-duty use to support demanding mission requirements where personnel work extended shifts at tri and quad monitor workstations. The current chair inventory of 300+ units is largely obsolete, with approximately 85% over a decade old and many exceeding 20 years. Warranty requirements include 12-year coverage for all structural and mechanical materials and mechanisms, 10-year coverage for upholstered materials, and labor costs included in warranty. Chairs must be delivered fully assembled with zero assembly time required, minimal packaging, and all shipping costs included. Products shall be shipped to 367 COS/MS, 250 Hall Boulevard, Building 2058, Lackland AFB, TX 78243. No response dates, pricing terms, or contract vehicle information is provided in this characteristics document.
