About this file

This document is a specifications and salient characteristics statement for the 9155D Calibration Workstation required by the 704th Test Group/846th Test Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base. The 846th Test Squadron operates the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT), which uses rocket-powered sled trains to simulate flight environments for testing avionics platforms, payloads, and Department of Defense equipment. The workstation is used to calibrate approximately 80% of the sensors required for test missions, and annual maintenance and calibration services are essential for operational continuity.

The contractor shall perform software upgrades, annual calibrations, and provide loaner equipment to maintain system availability during equipment transit. The contract period runs from May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027 (base year), with three optional one-year renewal periods extending through April 30, 2030. The workstation specifications require a turnkey system with Windows PC-based interface, 19-inch rack-mounted configuration, NIST-traceable calibration capability, and compliance with ISO 16063, IEC 61094-5, and ANSI B88.1 standards. The 9155D calibratable equipment list includes 10 specific components from manufacturers such as National Instruments, PCB Piezotronics, and Hewlett Packard. The contractor must deliver loaner equipment one week prior to scheduled shipments, return calibrated equipment within four weeks of receipt, provide all calibration documentation, and deliver equipment to 846 TS at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico 88330-7850. On-site software updates and system training must be provided as needed, and all shipping costs must be included in the contractor's proposal.

9155D Calibration Workstation

Specifications_Salient Characteristics

For

704th Test Group/846th Test Squadron

17 March 2026

1.0 PURPOSE

The 846th Test Squadron’s (846 TS) primary test capability is the Holloman High Speed Test Track (HHSTT) where rocket powered sled trains are utilized to simulate flight-like environments and scenarios with the control and recovery of a ground-based system. Calibrated sensors are required for test mission validation of various avionics platforms, payloads, and equipment for the Department of Defense in conjunction with its partners over a number of differing rocket sled configurations. The HHSTT Instrumentation Flight uses the Modal 9155D calibration workstation to calibrate approximately 80% of these sensors used for test missions.

Annual maintenance is required for 9155D Calibration Workstation to continue the HHSTT sensor calibrations for all test programs.

2.0 SCOPE

The contractor shall perform software upgrades and annual calibrations on all required equipment for the 9155D Calibration Workstation system. The contractor will also provide loaner equipment to ensure 9155D system is usable by unit during equipment in transit status for calibration services. Any shipping cost must be included.

Calibration services are required for a one base year period from 1 May 2026 through 30 April 2027 with three (3) one-year options. Period of performance are as follows:

Model Period of Performance Base Year 9155-SCP 1 May 2026 through 30 Apr 2027 Option Year 1 9155-SCP 1 May 2027 through 30 Apr 2028 Option Year 2 9155-SCP 1 May 2028 through 30 Apr 2029 Option Year 3 9155-SCP 1 May 2029 through 30 Apr 2030
