1. Ensure engine installation satisfactorily complete.
2. Prepare the engine to put into operation
3. Pre heat engine
4. Manually operate prelube pump for 30 minutes – verify oil pressure is at least 0.4 bar during this time
5. Manually operate fuel boost pump for 10 minutes
6. After both prelube and boost pumps have completed their runs, disconnect the X4 connector from the ECU and press the start button. The engine will run through one crank cycle, but will not start.
7. Repeat step 6 a second time
8. Reconnect X4 and start the engine at LOP
9. Allow engine to idle for 10 minutes
10. Conduct operational checks
11. Check monitoring system and ECU
12. Raise engine speed to 1000 RPM for 10 minutes
13. Raise engine speed to 1600 RPM for 10 minutes
14. Raise engine speed to 2100 RPM for 5 minutes
15. Lower back to idle speed for 10 minutes
16. Shut down engine at LOP
17. Request cutter sea trials and perform acceptance test run with DisSys recording.
18. Perform after shutdown service
19. Submit final commissioning report
Note: Throughout this process, there should be a diasys recording of the EMU, with all parameters. This recording shall be provided with final report.
