About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a data center infrastructure upgrade project for the Naval Medical Center San Diego. The project involves a comprehensive retrofit of the Information Management Department server room, including the installation of two new Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) with 125kW (N+1) redundancy scalable to 250kW, two Performance Optimized Data Centers (PODs) with 17 server cabinets each, and associated power distribution units. Key scope elements include replacing existing raised flooring, ceiling systems, computer room air conditioning units, and cooling towers, with a phased approach to minimize operational disruption.

The project requires a Design-Build contractor to perform architectural and engineering work, construction, and installation services. Specific requirements include seismic bracing, electrical and mechanical installations, fire suppression system modifications, and telecommunications infrastructure updates. The contractor must provide a one-year warranty covering labor and materials, and offer optional one-year full-service maintenance agreements for the installed components. Delivery will be to Building 2, Ground Floor, Room 10KP1 at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, with the exact delivery schedule to be determined. The government points of contact are Rizalito Barrera Jr. and Carl Olson from the medical center.
