About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the replacement of a 12" backflow preventer at JBSA Lackland Air Force Base Golf Course (Building 2901) in San Antonio, TX. The project requires the contractor to remove the existing backflow preventer, which is currently non-compliant with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations, and install a new AMES Model 2000SS-OSY 12IN Double Check Valve Backflow Preventer Assembly with Domestic OSY Shutoffs and Cam Check Valves.
The project has a 30-calendar day performance period, with work to be conducted Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding government holidays. Key requirements include coordinating with the Facility Manager, providing safety barriers, performing pressure testing, and obtaining certification from a TCEQ-approved backflow prevention assembly tester. The contractor must restore the system to full operation, provide documentation of installation and testing, and offer a one-year warranty on materials and workmanship. The project aims to bring the water system into compliance and prevent potential fines or service interruptions.
