REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION WITH SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
In detail, please describe those physical, functional, performance, or material element qualities of an item that are essential to ensure that the intended use of the item can be satisfactorily realized.
36 MXS Requires 2EA Electric Tugs with the below salient characteristics
1. An electric powered utility vehicle capable of towing at least 8,000 lbs.
2. Passenger vehicle features for two adults to ride in and control the vehicle. i.e. seats, a steering wheel, accelerator pedal, brakes, mirrors, horn, etc. A remote-controlled or exteriorly controlled vehicle would not meet the required capabilities to accomplish mission objectives.
3. A removable pintle hitch attachment (opposed to common civilian ball-hitch), to allow replacement from wear and tear, or swapped out for other less common hitches as required.
4. A flat-bed cargo area, or cargo area enclosed by short rails/walls. Needs to be able to load up common flightline maintenance accessories on it such as: chalks, toolboxes, hard hats, medium sized industrial equipment. A permanently installed enclosure would not meet required capabilities.
5. A load capacity (cargo loaded on top of the vehicle, opposed to being towed behind it) of at least 3,000 lbs.
6. Must come with a charger and all essential accessories for operation.
