About this file
This Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for replacing a chiller condenser and heat exchanger system at a facility in Miles City, Montana. The project requires replacing an original Trane R-22 refrigerant chiller system that has been experiencing regular failures, making replacement more cost-effective than continued repairs.
The technical requirements specify installation of a new 50-ton unit charged with R410A refrigerant, including replacement of the heat exchanger, refrigerant piping, TX valves, solenoids and solenoid coils, filter driers and filter cores. The new system must integrate with the existing Metasys automation system. All work must be performed by certified technicians and include proper disposal of old components. The contractor will be responsible for travel to the equipment location, with no government-furnished equipment or materials provided. No specific deliverables schedule is outlined, though the related solicitation indicates all work must be completed by December 31, 2024.
