About this file

This document is an attachment titled "Minimum Requirements" that outlines the specifications for a Spectrum Monitoring System (SMS) required for the Shipboard Electronic Systems Evaluation Facilities (SESEF) Program.

The key requirements include: the SMS must be capable of measuring and displaying various RF parameters; have a frequency range of 1.5 MHz to 18.0 GHz with direction finding capabilities up to 40 GHz; provide time-stamped data logging; have an azimuth coverage of 120 degrees or 360 degrees; and achieve direction finding accuracy of within 5 or 2 degrees. The SMS must also be able to operate in a high electromagnetic power environment, have GPS capabilities, and provide ease of use signal analysis tools. The system must have a minimum 1-year warranty, and up to a 5-year warranty is preferred. The SMS is intended to be installed at fixed SESEF ranges or in mobile SESEF vans.
