PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT

FOR

SPACE OPERATIONS COMMAND

(SPoC)

BUILDING ONE

(Bldg-1)

LANDSCAPE

MAINTENANCE

3 September 2024

1. SCOPE:

1.1 The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, material, and transportation necessary to conduct weekly inspection and maintenance of all live foliage/plants in SPoC HQ Bldg 1, Peterson SFB, CO.

1.2 There are approximately 341 plants and 20 trees throughout the building. Plant Types include: Ficus Tree, Marginata Branch, Bamboo Palm, Fish Tail Palm, Amate Shcefflera,Dracaena Marginata, Dracaena Massangeana Cane, Kentia, Norfolk Island Pine, Janet Craig,Dracaena Janet Craig Cane, Massangeana Cane, Warneckii, Warneckii Tips, Spath, Neanthe, Bella Palm, Pothos, Pothos – HB, Philo-Selloum, Dwarf Shefflera, Croton, Varagated.Arboricola, Rhapis Palm, Reflexa, Sanseveria, Majesty Palm, Aglaonema, Spath Sensation,Aglo-Hybrid, Corn Tips, Ivy- Hanging Baskets, Pole Pothos, Algerian, Dracaena Marginata,Aspidistra. Plants are located on the atrium floor and in planters that catwalk the west atrium.

2. REQUIREMENTS:

The contractor shall perform weekly inspection and maintenance on all live foliage plants in SPoC B-1 as follows:

2.1 Check for proper moisture level

2.2 Clean and trim plants

2.3 Remove debris, dead leaves and trash from soil and floor areas upon completion of maintenance.

2.4 Add soil/mulch to soil surface as needed to keep plants healthy

2.5 Rotate plants to predominant light sources as needed

2.6 Provide proper levels of plant nutrients

2.7 Inspect and treat for disease or insect infestation in accordance with local, State, and Federal regulations.

2.8 Water sources are available on all floors of the building. Due to safety concerns, water hoses will not be utilized for watering plants; portable water tanks or alternate methods will be used to water plants.

2.9 The contractor shall replace any expired or diseased plants, and any plants that reach maximum growth in pot or are determined unhealthy by the contractor and/or Facility Manager.

All replacement plants will be of the same type or equal to that being replaced and must be approved by SPoC B-1 Facility Manager.

3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

3.1 Security Clearance or Access to Building 1: The contractors performing the work will be given a “T” badge that allows temporary access to all common areas of building 1. The contractor must comply with the host bases instruction for entry to the base.

3.2 Working hours: The building is open for contract performance from Monday – Friday, 07:30 to 16:30, except federal holidays and Space Operations Command family days are considered non-duty days.
