About this file

This document is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division, effective as of June 25, 2026.

The wage determination (No. 2015-4847, Revision 34) applies to service contracts in four Massachusetts counties: Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, and Suffolk. It establishes prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits for over 200 occupational classifications ranging from administrative and clerical positions to technical, skilled trades, health occupations, and protective service roles. Hourly rates vary significantly by occupation, from entry-level positions such as cashiers at $17.33 per hour to specialized roles like nuclear medicine technologists at $58.56 per hour and registered nurses at $40.19-$58.29 per hour. All listed occupations are entitled to fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly, or $222.00 per week/$962.00 monthly), with an alternative rate of $5.09 per hour under Executive Order 13706. The determination includes special provisions for computer professionals (with specific duty requirements to qualify for exemptions under 29 U.S.C. Section 213), air traffic controllers and weather observers (with night pay and Sunday differentials), hazardous duty pay differentials (4-8 percent depending on hazard level), and uniform allowances ($1.35 per week for cleaning and maintenance). Vacation, holiday, and other fringe benefit details are specified in accordance with 29 CFR regulations. The document also outlines conformance procedures for unlisted occupational classifications and references the Service Contract Act Directory of Occupations as the basis for job duty determinations.
