About this file

This document provides instructions for submitting Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Request for Variance (RFVs), and Value Engineering Change Proposals (VECPs) related to a federal contract. The preferred submission method is electronically using specified forms to two email addresses: one for the Combat Capabilities Development Command - Armaments Center and one for the contracting office as reflected on the contract. Hard copies of submissions may also be provided to the Combat Capabilities Development Command - Armaments Center and to the Army Contracting Command - Rock Island.

The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation for M548 metal ammunition containers to meet a Technical Data Package. The M548 container is a critical component used for movement and storage of small and medium caliber ammunition and other items by all military services for both training and combat. The solicitation is seeking containers that can be produced using existing equipment and skills within the industrial base.
