We verified the shutoff valves are within a couple feet under the raised floor.

The CW supply and return pipes are 2-1/2 risers running from the shut off valves to the wall within a few feet, then up 10’ to above the false ceiling then over about 6’ to 8’ to the 6” CWS&R lines above the false ceiling. There are no shut off valves between the CRAC units and the chiller, 300 linear feet away. These branches also fall in between two 567k/631K BTU air handlers supporting the first floor of the building. The cap on the 2-1/2” lines above the ceiling would need to be near the junction of the 6” and 2-1/2” lines since there is no mechanical support of the horizontal component in the overhead (or you could strap it up). Furniture in this area would be removed as necessary to accomplish the work. We presume freezing the 2-1/2” lines would be the most efficient way to cut the pipes without shutting down HVAC to the first floor.
