About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the troubleshooting and repair requirements for a Cummins 350KW Generator located at Fairchild Air Force Base, Building 2169. The primary objective is to diagnose and address an operational issue involving engine coolant mixing with engine oil, which could potentially cause severe engine damage. The contractor must perform comprehensive diagnostic services, including disassembling the engine, draining existing oil, removing specific gaskets, identifying root causes of the coolant-oil mixing, and providing a detailed diagnostic report with a comprehensive repair estimate.

The SOW specifies that all work must be completed by a credentialed mechanic within 10 days of contract award, using Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or OEM-approved components. The contractor will replace identified components like the oil pan gasket, oil suction connection gasket, and seals, and refill the engine with 11 gallons of 15W-40 engine oil. Any follow-on repair work requires a bilateral contract modification and written authorization from the Contracting Officer. The work will be performed at Fairchild Air Force Base, with the contractor required to comply with base security regulations and coordinate work hours with 92 CES points of contact.
