About this file

This document is a memorandum from the 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base regarding REAL ID implementation. Effective 07 May 2025, all contractors must present REAL ID-compliant identification to establish identity for unescorted access to Department of the Air Force (DAF) installations. Contractors with existing contracts who do not have REAL ID-compliant identification must obtain such identification when renewing base passes, with this requirement considered in-scope for current contracts. The memorandum cites references including the REAL ID Act of 2005 and Department of Homeland Security guidelines, and provides contact information for the Contracting Officer, Senior Airman Micaiah Lampkin, at micaiah.lampkin@us.af.mil or 575-784-6133 for any questions.
