About this file
This file is a specifications attachment for RFP #S-DASOBO-00002867 issued by a state or local government agency for the procurement of crime scene and laboratory alternative light source (ALS) equipment and accessories. The specifications document outlines detailed technical requirements for Crime-Lite ALS units, including mandatory features such as 16 high-efficiency LEDs with the capability to increase to 19W LED output power, dual high and short-range intensity lighting modes, and operation capability on both AC main current and rechargeable batteries with a minimum operational time of 750 minutes. Additional requirements include consistent light wavelength output guaranteed by the manufacturer, bright even illumination without hot spots, low battery indicators, intensity settings at 10%, 30%, 50%, and 100% for white light units, ergonomic design suitable for extended continuous use, lightweight and portable construction to avoid disturbing evidence at crime scenes, and rugged design capable of withstanding frequent cleaning with antimicrobial solutions. The specifications also define required light wavelengths across multiple spectra: white light (400-700nm), UV (350-380nm), violet (395-425nm), blue (420-470nm), blue/green (445-510nm), green (480-560nm), orange (570-610nm), red (600-660nm), and infrared (800-900nm).
Proposers must indicate in Column G whether they offer items meeting or exceeding specifications by selecting from a dropdown menu either "YES" (confirming they meet or exceed requirements and offer brand name goods) or "NO" (indicating they do not meet or exceed requirements for the specified brand name goods but offer an equal or equivalent alternative). The document provides no information regarding pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, bid due dates, or other procurement timeline details, as these specifications represent only the technical attachment to the broader RFP document.
