About this file

This document contains draft specifications for physical access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems for a new visitors center and headquarters building at Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge.

The specifications require an access control system to integrate card readers, door hardware, motion detectors and interface with the video surveillance and intrusion detection systems. The intrusion detection system must provide audible and visual annunciation of alarms to the main panel and central monitoring station. A video surveillance system of IP cameras, network video recorder, switches and other equipment is specified along with related installation, cabling and testing requirements. Acceptable manufacturers are listed for each system component. The work must be performed by a qualified contractor and meet various quality standards and warranty terms. Training is also specified.
