About this file
These are the technical specifications for the Summit Lake Dam Repairs and Safety Improvements project, prepared by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service. The comprehensive document covers multiple technical sections including earth moving, concrete work, seeding, fencing, and general construction requirements. Key technical specifications include concrete requirements with a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 4000 psi, detailed excavation and backfill procedures using crusher run limestone aggregate, specific seeding guidelines using native seed mixes, and chain-link fencing installation standards.
The specifications provide extensive details on construction methods, including work restrictions (normal business hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday), safety protocols, traffic control requirements, and environmental considerations such as weed and disease prevention. Contractors must submit various documents including a construction schedule, safety plan, traffic control plan, and comply with specific requirements for equipment washing, waste disposal, and site restoration. The project emphasizes precise technical execution, environmental protection, and adherence to federal regulations throughout the construction process.
