About this file
This document is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements specification for federal contract FD20602600524-00, Version 1, generated on June 17, 2026.
The document establishes packaging and marking requirements for three line items: 5855DTL26021BSO, 5855016702322SO, and 5855RPL26006BSO. Two items require no packaging data (items AAA and AAC), while one item (AAB, numbered 5855016702322SO) requires packaging in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1, Standard Practice for Military Packaging, at Preservation Level MIL, Packaging Level B, with SPI F016001681 (Revision 19212, dated July 31, 2019). All items must comply with MIL-STD-129 Revision R for military marking standards. Additionally, all wooden lumber, wooden pallets, and wooden containers used for packaging must be constructed from debarked, heat-treated wood (minimum 56 degrees Celsius or 133 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes) in compliance with United Nations restrictions on wood packaging material (WPM) to prevent invasive species such as the pinewood nematode. Certification and marking of wooden materials must be provided by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), with reference to International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM No. 15). Shipping containers must include military-standard markings and may require additional markings such as unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) names, or OEM model numbers as specified. The packaging requirements were prepared by Lorenda L. Martinez, Packaging Specialist, 406 SCMS/GULAA, contacted at 478-327-6313 or 497-6313.
