The contractor must comply with EPA regulations, OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910 and 1926), ADA regulations, ASTM specifications, and SDDCTEA Pamphlet 55-17 for traffic engineering standards. Environmental controls require the contractor to provide refuse containers, perform daily site cleanup, and dispose of all waste off-base at the contractor's expense, including hazardous materials disposal coordinated with base environmental personnel. The contractor must handle suspected asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint per federal regulations, performing paint hazard testing when destructive surface preparation methods are used. All material submittals require approval via AF Form 3000 prior to installation, with simultaneous submission of materials from the same specification section.
