Solicitation # 140P5224Q0016 Atch 1 SOW

1. STATEMENT OF WORK

Gulf Islands National Seashore (Florida District)

Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies and materials (unless noted otherwise) necessary for commercial solid waste and recyclable material removal from designated NPS locations.

• PERDIDO KEY- 13333 Johnson Beach Rd, Pensacola 32507

• NAVEL LIVE OAKS COMPOUND – 1802 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze Fl. 32563

• SANTA ROSA AREA (Opal Beach) - 7201 Gulf Blvd., Navarre 32566

• FORT PICKENS AREA - 1400 Fort Pickens Rd., Pensacola Beach

SERVICE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

BASE PERIOD: April 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024 plus four one-year option periods, if exercised.

REQUIRED SERVICES:

A. Perdido Key Area

Solid Waste

Provide one (1) 8 cubic-yard container Provide one (1) 6 cubic-yard container

Service once (1x) weekly during months of October and February:

Service twice (2x) weekly during March and September: Pick up three days apart (minimum).

Recycling Provide one (1) 8 cubic-yard container Service one (1) time weekly for single stream recycling.

Containers placement at the southeast corner of east parking lot

Government-Furnished Material (GFM): One Bear Proof Container onsite (see specs below), which the Contractor will be required to service per the solid waste schedule above.

Bear Proof Dumpsters and Heavy Duty Steel Cubic Yard Containers (bearicuda.com) “The Guardian" 8 Cubic Yard Front Load Dumpsters 8 Cubic Yard Front Load Dumpster 86.5"W x 75" L x 45" H Frt, 80" H Back Includes 2 Top Access Doors And 1 Sliding back doors: standard Approx. Weight 1225 lbs sliding door located on the top back side of the dumpster Access Doors are latched in the middle and swing to the side.

All other containers MUST be contractor furnished at all designated locations in this contract.

B. Gulf Breeze, Naval Live Oaks

Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard container and service one (1) time per week.

Recycling Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard container and service one (1) time per week for single stream recycling.

Containers are located at NLO maintenance compound parking lots

C. Santa Rosa Area

Solid Waste

Provide two (2) 8 cubic yard container and service one (1) time per week for the period of October 1 through February 31.

Provide two (2) 8 cubic yard container and service (2) times per week for the period of March 1 through September 30. Pick up dates shall be a minimum of two days apart (Monday-Friday).

Recycling Provide two (2) 8 cubic yard container and service one (1) time per week for single stream recycling.

Containers located at the NW corner of B Cluster and NE corner of D Cluster parking lot.

D. Fort Pickens Provide sufficient containers for solid waste collection and service two (2) times per week.

Minimum of two days apart between pickup dates (Monday-Friday).

Solid Waste Main Campgrounds Provide one (2) 8 cubic yard first corral near dump station.

Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard in F/C dumpster corral.

Provide one (1) 6 cubic yard in B/D dumpster corral.

Campground loop A Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard in dumpster in corral.

Fishing Pier Provide one (1) 6 cubic yard dumpster in corral.

Battery Worth Provide one (1) 6-yard dumpster Battery Langdon Beach Provide one (1) 8-yard dumpster.

Recycling Main Campgrounds

Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard first corral near dump station.

Provide one (1) 8 cubic yard in F/C dumpster corral.

Provide one (1) 6 cubic yard in B/D dumpster corral.

2. VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES

CONTAINERS MUST BE ANIMAL PROOF DUMPSTERS (flat top with Sliding door)

A. Contractor vehicles are to be equipped to prevent littering of the streets and or roads.

Contractor shall be responsible for picking up material and trash spilled from the vehicle or at collections sites when spillage occurs as a result of contractor’s negligent acts, fault or omissions.

B. All Recyclable containers are to be labeled and identified as such, complete with weather resistant recyclable logo affixed to front side of containers.

C. All recycling will be single stream and picked up once per week.

D. Solid Waste shall be disposed of in an approved EPA landfill site.
