The addendum provides detailed clarifications and responses to 22 technical questions from potential bidders, addressing specifics about the chiller and pump replacement requirements. Key project details include replacing existing chillers with new units using R-513A refrigerant, replacing four pumps with specific performance requirements (20 HP and 5 HP pumps), and reconnecting the existing Metasys building automation system by Johnson Control, Inc. The bid date has been extended to 10:30 AM E.S.T. on April 11, 2025, with a mandatory pre-bid sign-in sheet from a March 21, 2025 meeting.
The scope of work is comprehensive, requiring contractors to replace multiple system components including chillers, pumps, valves, electrical disconnects, control systems, heat trace, insulation, pressure gauges, and various auxiliary equipment. Additional requirements include using grooved piping, metal lagging for outdoor insulation, and integrating new equipment with the existing Metasys control system. The project involves extensive replacement and upgrade of mechanical and control systems at the correctional facility, with precise specifications for each component to ensure compatibility and performance. A pre-bid sign-in sheet indicates multiple contractors and vendors attended the mandatory pre-bid meeting, suggesting significant interest in the project.
