About this file

This document is Appendix D from a Georgia state contract opportunity and establishes a comprehensive list of secure and verifiable documents for identification purposes under O.C.G.A. 50-36-2. The acceptable documents include United States passports and passport cards, military identification cards, driver's licenses from U.S. states and territories that comply with immigration verification requirements, state identification cards, federally recognized Native American tribal identification cards, U.S. Permanent Resident Cards, Employment Authorization Documents with photographs, foreign passports, U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Documents, FAST cards, NEXUS cards, SENTRI cards, Canadian driver's licenses, and USCIS Certificates of Citizenship or Naturalization. Notably, driver's licenses from Alaska, Idaho, Illinois, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Utah, and Washington are not currently acceptable due to non-compliance with immigration verification requirements prior to issuance, with Maryland and Massachusetts designations pending.

The document clarifies that the listed documents are verifiable for identification purposes but may not necessarily indicate residency or immigration status. Additionally, any documents required by federal law for administering public benefits or programs are deemed secure and verifiable documents for those specific programs and benefit administrations. This appendix serves as a reference guide for contract administrators and authorized personnel to verify the identity of individuals involved in the contract performance or those accessing public benefits related to the contract.
