About this file
This document is an insurance requirements appendix for the Community College of Denver (CCD) related to professional moving services for the Auraria Higher Education Center. The requirements establish mandatory insurance coverage standards that vendors and all subcontractors must obtain and maintain throughout the contract performance period. The insurance requirements apply specifically to the Boulder Creek relocation project and establish comprehensive coverage obligations across multiple insurance categories to protect state and institutional assets during the moving and relocation process.
Vendors must secure workers' compensation insurance as required by Colorado state statute and employers' liability coverage for all employees. Commercial general liability insurance must maintain minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 general aggregate with a $50,000 fire damage limit. Automobile liability coverage of $1,000,000 combined single limit is required for all vehicle types. The State of Colorado and CCD must be named as additional insureds on all policies, with vendor coverage maintained as primary and noncontributory. Cargo and inland marine insurance with a minimum limit of $150,000 per occurrence is required to cover furniture, equipment, laboratory equipment, medical devices, and instructional materials during packing, loading, transportation, unloading, staging, and placement. Specialized equipment coverage with a $120,000 per occurrence sublimit applies to medical, laboratory, imaging, or research equipment. All policies must include 30-day cancellation notice provisions and subrogation waivers protecting the State of Colorado, CCD, the Auraria Higher Education Center, and their respective officers, agents, and employees.
