About this file

This document is an Appendix B equipment specification list for a Simulation Lab technology upgrade, likely for an educational institution or medical training facility. The specification details a comprehensive A/V solution requiring IP cameras, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and digital signal processors (DSPs) that must be fully compatible with Laerdal manikin simulators including SimMom, SimBaby, SimMan3G Plus, and NursingAnne Simulator. The proposed technical solution must support seamless integration with existing Windows-based patient monitoring systems and include specific hardware configurations for both Simulation and OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) style rooms, such as two IP PTZ cameras per room, HDMI to IP encoders, and audio communication equipment enabling interaction between simulation rooms and control rooms.

The document indicates that three separate control rooms will be part of the simulation lab upgrade, with each control station requiring the capability to simultaneously operate and control connected spaces. Appendix C, referenced within the document, provides a comprehensive inventory of current simulation lab equipment, with items marked in blue representing equipment targeted for replacement. Bidders are specifically instructed to indicate their compatibility and ability to work with each existing piece of equipment in the Excel document. The technical specifications suggest a detailed, specialized technology procurement process focused on creating an integrated, flexible simulation training environment with advanced audio-visual and simulation capabilities.

Text version

Simulation Lab Equipment List The A/V solution may include any combination of IP cameras, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and DSPs, as required to support any proposed implementation that aligns with all other requirements set forth in the requirements document. In applicable manaikin-equipped rooms, the solution must be fully compatible with Laerdal manikin simulators—past, present, and future models—including, but not limited to: SimMom, SimBaby, SimMan3G Plus, and NursingAnne Simulator. It must also support seamless integration and real-time data capture from the manikin’s patient monitor, which operates using Laerdal Patient Monitor software on Windows-based All-in-One PCs.

The general hardware setup for both Simulation (Manaikin-Equipped) and OSCE style rooms should include:

· (2) IP PTZ Cameras allowing for capture of the entire space.

· (1-2) HDMI to IP Encoders to allow for streaming of a computer's video output to the system for remote viewing alongside camera views for each room.

· Necessary audio equipment to enable paging/talk-back between the Simulation/OSCE room and the Control Room located in a different room within the Simulation Lab.

Exceptions should only be made in larger spaces where only (2) PTZ cameras would not be sufficient to capture the entire space such as:

· 223B (Home Health) For the three control rooms across the simulation lab, the solution should provide the necessary equipment to establish control stations allowing for simultaneous operation of each of the connected spaces. Furthermore, each control station should also allow for full operational control of any connected space throughout the simulation lab.

Appendix C reflects all equipment the simulation lab currently has by room. The equipment listed in blue is equipment that is requested to be replaced in the system upgrade. Indicate in the excel document Appendix C your compatibility and ability to work with each piece of equipment.
