WALL LOCKER SPECIFICATIONS

The Wall Locker shall contain two doors, a vertical divider, a full width fixed shelf on each side, clothes rod on each side, and a padlock hasp for the top drawer behind the right hand door. The right door will be designed with a weapon rack and lock. The unit will be of a welded construction and will be shipped fully assembled.

The unit will be constructed of a combination of 18 and 20 gauge steel such that the front frame shall be constructed from formations in the sides and top so that a minimum reveal of 1-1/4” is created and a channel to accept the doors. The doors will be inset in the frame. The doors will be of a minimum of 18 gauge double pan steel with all edges flanged. Each door will have two sets of louvers consisting of four slits 4-inches long and 3/16-inch deep and spaced 1 1/8-inch apart. One set will be located 3 7/16-inches from the top of the door and the other set will be located 3 7/16” from the bottom of the door.

The louvers will be in both the inside and outside pan of the door. The outer walls, left and right, will have a 3” W x 0.38” H reinforced opening for hangers, located 8 inches down, and centered, from the top edge of the locker. The outer and inner panel will be constructed of steel, with the inner panel telescoping into the outer panel forming a hollow section of ¾” (nominal) thickness. The inside pan will have a welded hat section running vertically between the upper louvers to the lower louvers which will add stiffness and strength to the doors. The outer and inner pan will be powder coat painted inside and out. Paint color will be Total Eclipse (black). The doors will be affixed to the unit with one piano hinge along the entire length each door, 18 gauge steel secured with rivets, one rivet every two inches on both doors. Attach the piano hinges to the c-channel on wall locker side every two inches the entire length of piano hinge. Each door will have a continuous finger pull for opening. Two magnets will hold each door in the closed position. One door size will be 12 ¼” W x 66 ½”H. The other door will be 19 5/8” W x 46 ½” H and have a recessed steel compartment for housing and locking the firearm. A heavy duty polypropylene surface with foam padding on the top and bottom of the recessed housing will secure firearm in place. The recessed housing will have a lock bar assembly installed that only allows the firearm to have the left side facing outward. The recessed housing size will be 4” deep x 31 1/2” H x 10 ¾” W. The unit overall dimensions shall be 72.00” H x 36.00” W x 24.00” D.

The base of the unit will be a minimum of 18 gauge steel constructed such as to form a nominal 4-inch thick base with the bottom edges forming a channel flange and being spot welded for strength. The back of the unit will be constructed of 20 gauge steel which is flanged on all sides and welded to the top, bottom and sides. The back will have four holes through the back and flanges for anchoring/securing the unit to the wall. The unit will also have a full-length single piece vertical divider. The divider will be minimum 20 gauge flanged and or channeled on all sides. The vertical divider will be spot welded to the top, bottom and back panel.

Drawers will be constructed of minimum 20 gauge steel with the sides and bottom being of one piece and the front and back being resistance welded to the sides and bottom.

Nominal size of each drawer is 8 13/16”H x 19 11/16”W x 18 15/16”D. Drawer front shall be composed of double pan construction minimum 20 gauge. Drawers will be suspended at the sides by a system of two full extension 100lb rated ball bearing slides.

Padlock hasp locking system will be a minimum of 14 gauge and designed to lock the top drawer only. The top drawer will include a tray that measures 18.25" x 6"W x 3"D, inside dimension (ID).

The 1.5" diameter clothes hanging bar shall be constructed of minimum 14 guage steel and secured to the inner walls of the lcoker in a fashion that will prevent the bars' removal.

The locker's left hand door will have a 3" long coat hook located in the inside of the door.

The mounting area must be reinforced and capable of holding a sustained weight of 75 pounds without the coat hook pulling off the door. The coat hook shall be located 14" down from the top edge of the door, centered, to prevent the hook interfering with closure by striking the inside shelf. There will be a 3"W x 0.38" H reinforced opening for hangers on the outside of the left door located 14 inches down, and centered, from the top edge of the locker.

All steel parts will be painted with powder coat paint at a minimum of 1.5 mil thickness.

All surfaces to be powder coated shall be treated in accordance with type II of TT-C-490 Federal Specification. All treated surfaces shall be painted with a powder coating and applied and baked in accordance with the coating manufacturer’s recommendations.

Paint color will be Total Eclipse (black).
