About this file
This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by UChicago Argonne, LLC, the operator of Argonne National Laboratory, seeking to procure a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) for micromechanical testing. The solicitation, numbered 5-B175-Q-00380-00, is issued under contract DE-AC02-06CH11357 and requires vendors to submit a detailed proposal by March 26, 2025, at 5:00 PM CST. Vendors must provide pricing, lead time, country of origin information, and complete several required forms including Representations & Certifications (ANL-70A) and review Argonne's Terms and Conditions.
The procurement is for a single SEM with EDS unit, with the Department of Energy Office of Science as the overseeing agency. The RFQ includes specific requirements regarding country of origin, mandating that U.S. components must exceed 65% of total component costs for 2024-2028 deliveries. Vendors are expected to provide price justification through a public price list or redacted invoice. The contractor will be subject to Argonne's Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) requirements, and will be responsible for removing and disposing of any debris resulting from the installation or service work.
