About this file
This document is a Responses to Questions record for a federal contract solicitation addressing a Monarch Milling Machine Dismantle project at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY & IMF). The solicitation number is N32253-26-Q-0035, with a site visit conducted on April 20, 2026 at 9:00 AM HST, and responses provided on April 22, 2026.
The Q&A addresses operational and logistical details relevant to the dismantle work. Key facility information includes Building 67 with a 45-foot ceiling height, 25-foot wide by 17-foot tall doors, and floor load capacity of 800 PSF for concrete slab and 125 PSF for steel beam slab. Machine specifications including weight, dimensions, and models are located in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) section 3.9. The Government will disconnect electrical power and air while draining fluids prior to work, though residual oils may remain. The main tower is anchored to the slab while the remaining machine components rest on feet. Overhead crane and lifting equipment availability, pallet and dunnage specifications, and authorized access hours are addressed by reference to PWS sections 3.6, 3.7, and 11.1 respectively. No hazardous materials have been identified, though contractors may conduct independent testing. Dismantled pieces on pallets will be staged outside the shop. Active re-roofing operations at the facility may interfere with work depending on timing. Shop Point of Contact (POC) personnel will designate parking and vehicle access procedures for contractor equipment and personnel.
