About this file
This is Amendment No. 3 to a laboratory services contract issued by the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS). The amendment modifies the existing contract for laboratory services that support the medical and healthcare needs of youth in DJS custody across its facilities. The original contract and its amendments establish the framework for providing preventive, acute, and chronic healthcare laboratory testing services to adjudicated and alleged juvenile offenders placed in DJS residential and detention programs. The amendment addresses modifications to contract terms, conditions, pricing, scope adjustments, or other contractual provisions necessary to maintain continuity of laboratory services throughout the contract period.
The specific details regarding pricing adjustments, service modifications, funding allocations, performance metrics, or other substantive changes contained within Amendment No. 3 require review of the document's full content. Amendments to state and local contracts of this nature typically address cost escalations, scope refinements based on facility needs, updated service standards, or compliance with regulatory changes affecting juvenile detention healthcare requirements. The amendment ensures that the laboratory services contract remains current and responsive to DJS's ongoing obligation to provide comprehensive healthcare testing and diagnostics for the youth population under its supervision.
