About this file

This is Amendment II to Invitation for Bids #BPM054426 issued by the State of Maryland for Comprehensive Emergency Power Generator Preventive Maintenance and Related Services. The amendment addresses clarifications and questions received during the bidding process. The primary service involves preventive maintenance of emergency power generators, with one generator located in the basement of the Smith Building with adequate clearance for load bank and fuel polishing equipment access within 50 feet. The amendment clarifies that all bidders must acknowledge receipt of both Amendment I and Amendment II in their bid submissions, and references previous amendments for additional contract specifications and requirements.

The amendment provides responses to four key bidder inquiries, including confirmation that equipment access is available at the single facility location, correction of a non-functional eMMA system link for bid submission, clarification regarding contract pricing structure detailed in Amendment I, and confirmation that generator tanks require fuel polishing services as part of the scope of work. Bidders are required to review Amendment I for complete information regarding the four-year contract ceiling of $50,000 and all quantity specifications for generators and associated equipment.

This Amendment changes the IFB in the following ways: Adding the questions received and their responses to the Record.

Answer: I am told by Maintenance that there is only one building, the Smith Building where the Generator is in the Basement close to the rear Basement Doors. There is clearance for equipment including Load Bank and Polishing Equipment, as this type of equipment has been used their previously.

2. The link for eMMA doesn’t work nor does typing in the BPM number.

Answer: This has been addressed and corrected

3. This shows a 4-year contract not to exceed $50k? Is that total or per year?

Answer: See Amendment number 1

4. Also, tank and generator totals don’t match the list provided for quantities, the generator tanks will also need to be fuel polished.
