About this file
This is Amendment 2 to Request for Proposal 260000001603 issued by the State of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for Pump Station Inspection, Maintenance and Repair services on a statewide, as-needed basis. The amendment addresses questions and answers regarding bonding requirements for the contract. The RFP solicits services for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of pump stations across Michigan's infrastructure on an ongoing, as-needed basis rather than a fixed-term project with specific deliverables or timelines.
The primary clarification provided in this amendment concerns bonding requirements, specifically responding to bidder inquiries about whether bonding obligations apply to the entire contract value or to individual stations and repair projects. The State's response directs bidders to refer to revised bond language in Section 11 of Schedule A (Statement of Work) and Amendment 1 of RFP 260000001603 for definitive requirements. The amendment does not provide the complete bonding percentages or other pricing and financial terms within this document alone, requiring bidders to consult the full RFP and preceding amendments for complete bonding, pricing, and performance requirements.

Is there a way that we could bond each station individually when a repair is needed? If this isn't possible could we bond the amount that MDOT allocates towards the yearly budget for pump station repairs? |
See revised bond language in Section 11 Bonds of the Schedule A Statement of Work and as stated in Amendment 1 - RFP 260000001603.
