About this file

Amendment 0001 for Funding Opportunity Announcement N40080-25-2-0001 addresses pre-proposal inquiries and provides site pictures for the Naval Support Facility Indian Head Shoreline Restoration project. The cooperative agreement, issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Facilities Engineering Command, seeks to restore 500 linear feet of shoreline in Charles County, Maryland, using living shoreline techniques, boulder toe installations, native plantings, and erosion control measures.

The federal grant opportunity is assigned to the Conservation and Rehabilitation of Natural Resources on Military Installations program (CFDA 12.005), authorized by the Sikes Act. The project requires obtaining permits from Charles County, the State of Maryland, and the US Army Corps of Engineers. The cooperative agreement aims to prepare 100% design plans, secure necessary permits, and implement comprehensive shoreline restoration strategies to reduce erosion and nonpoint source pollution at the naval support facility.
