About this file

This document is a presentation by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce highlighting the economic development and strategic initiatives for the Paducah, Kentucky region. The presentation covers multiple key areas, including community growth, amenities, and a significant reindustrialization study for the Department of Energy (DOE) Paducah site. Highlights include 8% city census growth, 4% pre-COVID job growth, and over $200 million in new capital projects.

The Chamber received a $2 million DOE grant in 2023 to lead a reindustrialization study of the Paducah DOE site, with the goal of developing a roadmap for the site's future. The study involves collaboration with community partners and stakeholders, and notable developments include plans by General Matter and Global Laser Enrichment to locate at the site. The Paducah site is also one of four DOE sites being considered for an AI/Data Center. Additional positive results highlighted include a new $42 million Barkley Regional Airport terminal, a $24 million BUILD Grant for downtown riverfront improvements, and ongoing advocacy efforts at local and national levels.
