About this file
This document is an Answers to Questions document for Request for Proposal (RFQ) AHEC-25700-R, issued by the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC), which includes the Community College of Denver (CCD), Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver), and University of Colorado-Denver (UCD). The RFQ seeks to pre-qualify on-call contractors and service providers for small construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 throughout the entire Auraria campus. The pre-qualification process will establish a list of contractors who can be called upon to perform various trade services as needed, with each project subject to procurement rules and potential bonding requirements.
In response to a vendor's question, the document clarifies that general contractors do not need to list subcontractors in their initial response proposals. Instead, subcontractor and partner information will be required when pricing is provided for a specific project. This approach allows for flexibility in contractor selection and project-specific staffing, enabling AHEC to maintain a pool of qualified contractors who can be rapidly deployed for campus construction and maintenance needs.

This document contains all questions submitted by the deadline specified. Vendors’ inquiries are in black text and CCD’s answers are in red text.
Q1. Under Section 1: Item 1.31 (Prime Contractor) of the RFP. From the General Contracting provider prospective. Are we correct in thinking that we do not need to list any subcontractor/partners with this RFP? Our interpretation (presumed selected), is when later asked to participate in a specific project and submit a proposal, at that time a listing of subcontractors and partners will apply. Please confirm or advise otherwise.
A1. Correct, General Contractors do not need to list subcontractors in response proposals. General Contractors and or contractors would provide that information when pricing is provided for a project.
