About this file

This document is a detailed specification for HVAC system replacement at the J.B. Taylor Regional Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Elba, Alabama. The project involves installing a 7.5-ton unitary split-system consisting of both indoor and outdoor commercial-grade units with specific technical requirements, including R-454B refrigerant, dual circuit configuration, and BACnet BAS compatibility. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM, and vendors are explicitly warned that attendance is required for bid consideration. The project scope includes complete system replacement, involving new refrigerant lines, electrical services, control wiring, and system integration with the existing Traneconnect System.

The contract requires installation to be completed within 60 days of purchase order receipt, with work performed during normal business hours (8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST). The supplier must provide a comprehensive 1-year labor warranty beginning on the installation date and will be responsible for removing old equipment, ensuring clean-up, and performing a full system startup and operational check. The technical specifications are precise, detailing electrical requirements (208-230/60/3), refrigerant type, motor specifications, and communication cable lengths, indicating a technically complex HVAC replacement project for a specialized veterinary diagnostic facility.
