The above numbered solicitation is amended as set forth in Item 14. The hour and date specified for receipt of Offers is extended, is not extended.

14. Description of Amendment/Modification (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)

Amendment to the Solicitation for Grizzly Campground Restroom Replacement to document May 10, 2010 Pre Bid Meeting.

Attached are Questions and Answers from that meeting and list of interested offerors attending the meeting.

By signature in Block 15B Contractor releases the Government from all claims relating to this modification. This settlement is complete accord and satisfaction. Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of the document referenced in Item 9A or 10A, as heretofore changed, remains unchanged and in full force and effect.

Amendment One

Grizzly Campground RR – Pre Bid Meeting Notes 5/10/10

1) Question: In what order can the rest rooms be closed? Can the restrooms be built simultaneously?

Answer: Both restrooms will be demolished by the government prior to the contractor starting work.

However, the corresponding loops will be closed one at a time, therefore the construction may not occur simultaneously.

If the campground is not being used by any campers, the Contracting Officer may make some exceptions.

2) Question: Who will do the demolition?

Answer: The government will perform the demolition prior to start work.

3) Question: Is there insulation?

Answer: This is still being researched. The answer will be posted as soon as the government makes a decision. Unless otherwise advised, submit offers based on the drawings and specifications included with the solicitation

4) Question: What is the interior finish?

Answer: According to drawing S2.1 the interior finish is Hardiepanel® with Azek® trim. The contractor may propose an approved equal material.

5) Question: Will there be any backing behind the interior paneling for lateral support?

Answer: Specification 07466 as it relates to the hardipanel and hardiplank “Install siding in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s installation instructions.”

The government will post a more specific answer as soon as a final decision has been made.

6) Question: Will concrete compression tests be required?

Answer: As per specification 03300 the contractor shall:

“Provide test reports and mill certificates and other technical data showing cement provided meets the requirements AS SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS and herein specified.”

And:

3.4 - QUALITY CONTROL

The concrete at the Contracting Officer’s discretion may be sampled and tested as follows:

A. ASTM C172 “Method of Sampling Fresh Concrete” B. ASTM C143 “Slump” C. ASTM C231 “Air Content” D. ASTM C39 “Cylinders-Compression Test”

8) Question: Is compaction of base required?

Answer: Yes. It is the responsibility of the contractor to provide soil density tests and meet the requirements as specified in specification 02200 and on drawing S1.0 Foundation Notes #10.

9) Question: Will contractor have use of utilities?

Answer: Yes, the contractor will have access to water and power. All proper precautions must be met to ensure that electrical connections are safe and integrity of water system is maintained.

10) Question: What/where is control point?

Answer: There is a control point (assumed coordinates of 0,0,0) for each restroom. These points are labeled on pages C2.0 and C2.1.

11) Question: What is the slope of access path?

Answer: The path shall have a maximum slope of 5% and a maximum cross-slope of 2%.
