Applications Stairwells, lobbies, hallways, open offices, small offices, retail, bathrooms.

Features An ADA-compliant wall luminaire. A fully perforated fascia fives the fixture a soft glow. The fixture is open on both the top and bottom of the fascia to give a wash of light both below and above while the specular kicker reflector pushes light out and away to wash the ceiling and illuminate the space. Dimming, emergency, and integrated occupancy sensor options are available.

Construction The housing, available in 2-, 3-, 4-, 6- or 8-foot standard lengths, and finish plates are made of 20-gauge steel.

Finish The standard exterior body color is textured matte white (TMW) or optional gloss white (YGW) using polyester powder paint. Refer to ordering matrix for optional metal finishes or refer to Defining Section for optional paint colors. Optional brushed aluminum fixture body will have flat finish plates with black paint finish unless another color is specified.

Electrical T8 fixtures have instant-start electronic ballasts with less than 20% THD. T5 fixtures have programmed-start electronic ballasts with less than 10% THD. Fixtures are U.L. Damp labeled and I.B.E.W. manufactured. Maximum ballast size available: 2 3/8" width x 1 1/2" height.

Mounting Fixture is to be mounted directly to a wall or surface-mounted on ceilings.

Options EML: emergency battery (T8=600-700 lumens, T5 =600- 700 lumens); EMH: emergency battery (T8=1100-1400 lumens, T5 =1100-1400 lumens): DM: dimming (consult factory); RSE: rapid-start electronic; 10THD: ballast with <10% total harmonic distortion; B_:

specific ballast, specify manufacturer and catalog number (consult factory); FH: fixture fusing (slow blow); QC: quick-connect circuit assemblies; OCO: S-Occ™Integrated Occupancy System – all lamps on/off; OC2C: S-Occ™ - one lamp sensored, one lamp on constantly;

OCDM: S-Occ™ - dim to standby mode.

High quality wall-mounted luminaires - Snap, Wal-12, Wal-14, or P-1220

Fixture-integrated ultrasonic occupancy sensor and power pack by WattStopper/Legrand;

Program rapid start, 0-10V dimming, or bi-level ballasts for T5 specifications.

Specifications:

Fixtures fitted with S-Occ™ ship from our factory pre-calibrated with a 15-minute delay. You may specify a delay of up to 30 minutes, in 5-minute increments.

Fixtures specified to dim to standby mode (OCDM) will dim to the minimum level the ballast allows.

Choose your mode of operation:

OCO all lamps on/off using program rapid start ballast OC2C one lamp sensored, one lamp on (2 lamp only) OCDM dims to standby mode.

Sample part number:

WAL14-P-2T8-04’-TMW-SC-120-WM-OCDM

Describes a perforated wall-mounted 4-foot Wal14 with textured matte white finish, with Occupancy sensor that dims to 10% standby mode. T5 specifications use a bi-level ballast that dims to 50% standby mode.

The range of the ultrasonic sensor is about 20 feet from the face of the wall, and 12 feet on either side of the center. Obstacles such as furniture or partitions, wall, ceiling and floor treatments can cause the coverage area to be less or more. A 20% overlap in coverage is recommended.

Testing the Sensor:

1) Before testing or making adjustments, install furni-ture, turn lighting circuits on, and set HVAC systems to the overridden/ on position. VAV systems should be set to their highest airflow.

2) Activate the “Test Mode” using the test mode button.

3) Move out of the controlled area – the lights will turn off in about 5 seconds from the last flash of the LED.

If the LED continues to flash the sensor is detecting some kind of movement. Change the sensitivity adjustment to a lower setting (a few degrees counterclockwise) and repeat this step until the LED does not flash and the lights turn off.

4) Walk into the controlled area. If the lights don’t turn on, increase the sensitivity (a few degrees clockwise) and try again. Repeat this procedure until the LED does not flash and the lights turn off. If the lights turn off while the room is occupied, it may be necessary to increase the sensitivity.

5) Allow the test period to expire (5 minutes) or push the test button again. The sensor will now be in its operating mode.

Lamp Burn-In Mode:

Press and hold the Test Mode button for 5 seconds to start the Lamp Burn-In mode. This function initiates a 72-hour lamp burn-in period. The lamps will stay on continuously for 72 hours regardless of occupancy status. The LED flashes rapidly and continuously for the full period. After 72 hours, the sensor returns to normal function. To turn off the burn-in mode, momentarily push the test mode button again.
