Sample Design
Quick Plot
• Variable radius plot using a basal area factor (BAF) of 10 for live and dead trees at least 5.0 inches diameter at breast height (DBH).
• Fixed radius plot of 1/75 acre (13.6 foot radius) for live trees 0.01 – 4.99 inches DBH, or 0.50 – 4.49 feet in height. Similar sized trees can be grouped together (for instance, if there are 20 seedlings each approximately 2.5 feet high, this can be recorded in the CSE program on one line with the TREE COUNT (TCnt) field set to 20)
• Fuel photo series for down woody debris.
