2 Q: The bid documents stated the scope included cleaning ductwork servicing the 6 buildings referenced. Can you provide the square footage of the six (6) buildings?

3 Q: Is the contractor required to be a member of NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association)?

A: Please reference Amendment 2 and Attachment 1 – Statement of Work dated 3 Sep 20.

4 Q: Please clarify the hand wiping that is required in the SOW. Does that only apply to the grills only or does all the ductwork have to be hand wiped? If so that could be extensive.

A: Hand wiping specified in the SOW applies only to the grills.

5 Q: Please clarify if using hepa filtered vacuums/negative air machine in conjunction with an agitation devise (pneumatic air whip) is an acceptable method of cleaning the ductwork.

A: The cleaning shall be in accordance with EPA standards for cleaning and disinfecting for COVID-19.

6 Q: Are the air handler units to be included?

A: Yes

7 Q: Are exhaust systems to be included?

A: Yes

8 Q: Are prevailing Wage Rates/Davis Bacon Wage Rates required to be used? If so can you provide?

A: The Davis Bacon Act is not applicable for routine maintenance. Please reference Attachment 4 - Wage Determination, No. 2015-4561, Rev. 13 and Question 1.

9 Q: The contractor would not be required to put access into hard ceilings or hard surfaces to access ductwork, correct? For example drywall hatches would not be required, correct? I believe all ductwork to be cleaned is located over lay in ceiling tiles. Please verify.

A: It is not anticipated that the creation of access points through hard ceilings and drywall hatches will be required.

Ducts are accessible through removable ceiling tiles.

10 Q: Is this organization tax exempt or is sales tax applicable?

A: Sales tax is exempt.

11 Q: Clarify Bldg. 182 (280 Skyhawk Dr.). All that is shown on the drawing is piping no ductwork. Is there another drawing you can provide to show the ductwork needed to be cleaned?

A: Please reference Attachment 5 – Building 1852 Blueprint. The first floor is the AF office spaces as detailed in SOW.

12 Q: Can someone please let me know if we are to be completing the duct work for this floor plan as I do see one "office" but several other rooms as well, and this is also a piping plan (Bldg. 1852)

13 Q: Is there a particular area on beta.sam I can find the positions approved for this contract? I realize it’s only for 6 weeks or less. I wasn’t sure if this was a factor or If this was a reason that I could not find this information.

A: The Government does not dictate the labor categories.

Please refer to Question 1 for SCA wage rate determination.

14 Q: I also was wondering if it was permissible to hire a company (who is not a government contractor) who has the manpower to fulfill this contract for me.

A: The contractor has privy to hire a subcontractor to fulfill the contract.
