About this file

The document contains a detailed set of User Stories for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Old Man's Cave Parking Management System project, outlining comprehensive technical requirements for a new parking monitoring and management solution. The project seeks a turnkey software system to track vehicle entry and exit, manage parking capacity, provide real-time signage updates, and support remote monitoring across multiple devices. The system will initially be implemented at Old Man's Cave with the goal of future expansion to additional parking areas in the Hocking Hills park properties, with a proposed six-year production support and implementation timeline covering State Fiscal Years 26/27, 28/29, and 30/31.

The system requirements specify multiple critical functionalities, including hardware procurement, vehicle registration and counting, video overwriting, traffic flow reporting, live messaging board updates, user training, custom signage messaging, backup power cabling, and remote monitoring capabilities. The vendor will be responsible for 100% of system support, with ODNR only providing internet connectivity. The proposal must include independent cost breakdowns for each year of the six-year contract, with projections for potential future years beyond the initial term. The system must support administration across mobile phones, tablets, desktops, and web platforms, with unlimited admin access for ODNR administrators and the ability to expand monitoring to up to six additional parking lots in the future.
