About this file

This document is an addendum for the Cantini Mosaic Reinstallation project involving the City of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT), and BNY Mellon. The project requires general and electrical construction contractors to reinstall the Cantini Mosaic, with a comprehensive site management and safety protocol. Contractors must coordinate a site visit with PRT's Facility Services Manager Jake Cherevka, submit a baseline project schedule for approval, and adhere to specific transit patron impact minimization requirements. The project schedule is subject to a 45-day review process, during which Mr. Cherevka can approve, deny, or request modifications.

The addendum emphasizes strict safety and operational requirements for contractors, including mandatory pre-project safety training, immediate response to site conditions affecting public safety, and a prohibition on filing mechanics' liens against the property. Contractors must execute waivers and include lien waivers in their subcontractor agreements. While specific financial details are not provided, the document indicates a collaborative approach between the City of Pittsburgh, PRT, and BNY Mellon to ensure a smooth and secure mosaic reinstallation process that minimizes disruption to transit operations and maintains property integrity.
