About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 to IFB No. 04A4828 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for repair or replacement of storm water pumps and related equipment. The addendum provides location details for 27 pump stations across Contra Costa County and Alameda County, including specific inventory IDs, routes, post mile markers, and facility names. There is no walk-through scheduled for this work. The addendum clarifies licensing requirements, stating that contractors must possess either a D-21 (Machinery and Pumps) license or General A License (required from Prime Contractor), a C-10 (Electrical) license (from Prime or Subcontractor), and a C-31 (Construction Zone Traffic Control) license (from Prime or Subcontractor).
The addendum modifies both the Form of Agreement and Invitation for Bid documents to include updated licensing requirements. It specifies that contractors must obtain, pay for and maintain all necessary licenses and permits, with verification to be performed by Caltrans. The addendum clarifies that while a General A License can be used in lieu of a D-21 License, a General B License cannot be substituted. Bidders will be considered non-responsive if proper licensing requirements are not met, and invalid licenses will result in bid rejection.
