About this file

This is Addendum No. 10 for IFB 04A4828 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for the repair or replacement of storm water pumps and related equipment. The addendum revises the bid schedule, with final bid submissions due on March 29, 2016 at 2:15 PM Pacific Time and bid opening scheduled for 3:00 PM the same day. The original IFB was made available to prospective bidders on March 5, 2016, with written questions due by March 14, 2016.

The addendum clarifies that bids exceeding the $430,000 estimate will still be considered by Caltrans, addressing contractor concerns about varying labor rates across counties to meet prevailing wage requirements. The document includes updated bid submittal instructions with the delivery address at 1727 30th Street, 4th Floor, MS-65, Sacramento, CA 95816-7006. All other terms and conditions from the original Request for Proposal remain in effect.

Q1: -"Since there will be different labor rates per county being charged to meet IR prevailing wage requirements, and total contractor bid exceeds RFB or Request for Quote (bid) being sought by Caltrans, does that nullify contractor bid? Or will it still be considered regardless if it exceeds the $430,000 bid request being sought by Caltrans"?

A1: Bid will still be considered even if it exceeds $430,000.00
