About this file

This is Addendum No. 6 to IFB No. 04A4828 issued by the California Department of Transportation's Division of Procurement and Contracts on March 10, 2016, regarding Repair or Replace Storm Water Pumps and Other Related Equipment. The addendum addresses a single question and answer related to bidder bond requirements for the project.

The addendum clarifies that bidders must submit a bidder's bond of no less than 10% of their total bid amount, not based on the bid budget of $435,000 mentioned in Addendum #1. The bond must be issued and paid for by the bidder to participate in the bidding process. The document specifies that bidder's bonds will be released for non-winning bidders, and references IFB Solicitation Section C (Bid Requirements and Information), Item 12 (Bonds) page 4 of 11 for additional details.

ADDENDUM NO.6

IFB No. 04A4828

Repair or Replace Storm Water Pumps and Other Related Equipment

Your attention is directed to the following question and answer, to the above-noted Invitation for Bid (IFB).

QUESTION AND ANSWER:

Q1- BIDERS BOND: Is it correct that a bond needs to be issued and paid for by the bidder to bid the job? If so is this based on the Bid Budget of $435,000 (Addendum #1) or of the actual bid price we are quoting?

A1- Yes, a Bidders Bond is required from the Bidder to bid. The bidder’s bid bond shall be no less than ten percent (10%) of bidder’s total bid. Reference IFB Solicitation Section C) (Bid Requirements and Information), Item 12 (Bonds) page 4 of 11. The Bidders Bond is released for non-winning Bidders.

All other terms and conditions set forth in the Request for Proposal shall remain in full force and effect.
